1. Who We Are

This ordering experience is powered by Lexical Systems LLC ("OrderJam," "we," "us"). This policy applies to OrderJam-operated ordering portals and SMS ordering experiences for participating restaurants.

2. Roles: Restaurant and OrderJam

• Restaurant: Typically the "controller" of the customer relationship for your food order.
• OrderJam: A "service provider/processor" that processes information to facilitate ordering, messaging, checkout, fraud prevention, and platform improvement.

3. Information We Collect

• Contact info: name, phone number, email (if provided).
• Order details: items purchased, instructions, totals, pickup/delivery selections.
• Messaging content: messages exchanged during ordering (including chat logs).
• Payment data: processed via Stripe or other payment processors. We do not store raw card numbers; payment details are tokenized by our payment provider.
• Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, identifiers for security and fraud prevention.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Transmit your order to the Restaurant and provide order status updates.
• Provide checkout, account features (order history/reordering), and customer support.
• Prevent fraud/abuse and secure the Platform.
• Improve the Platform, including automated and AI-assisted features, using aggregated and anonymized data.

5. Behavioral Analytics (Aggregated / Non-Identifiable)

We may analyze interactions to derive aggregated insights such as ordering trends (e.g., "pizza orders are higher on weekends"). These insights are designed to be non-identifiable and are used to improve the Platform and help restaurants understand ordering trends. We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices regarding analytics. You may request deletion of your message history by contacting admin@lexicalsystems.com. Deletion requests do not affect completed transactions or records we must retain for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

6. SMS Consent

SMS ordering is handset-initiated by you. You may receive transactional texts related to your active order. Promotional messages are sent only if you separately opt in (unchecked by default at checkout or via a dedicated opt-in prompt). Msg & data rates may apply; message frequency varies. 7. Sharing

We share information with:

• The Restaurant fulfilling your order (order details and necessary contact info).
• Service providers/subprocessors that help us operate: Stripe (payments), Twilio (messaging), OpenAI (AI processing), and hosting/infrastructure providers.

8. Data Retention

We retain data as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type; we may retain order and messaging logs for a reasonable period for security, fraud prevention, and customer support.

9. Your Choices

• SMS opt-out: reply STOP to stop messages for a Restaurant's program.
• Access/correction: contact the Restaurant first for order issues; you may also contact us at admin@lexicalsystems.com.

10. Changes

We may update this policy by posting a new version with an updated date.
